The girls talked about the everyday life of young people leaving the orphanage. They talked about how difficult it is to lead an independent life in such a situation, especially when you are a mother yourself. On Saturday 7 December we celebrated the fourth birthday of The Way of Happiness Foundation. The celebration took place in the Microsoft headquarters in Warsaw.

The birthday party was a summary of the Foundation’s work for 2019 and a presentation of plans for 2020.

In the modern interiors of Microsoft Poland headquarters the charges, employees, volunteers and sponsors of the Foundation met. The most important guests at the meeting were our wards, including young mothers and their children, who were visited by Santa Claus with a bag of gifts.

During the ceremony, the “Strongmen”, i.e. distinctions for those wards who showed the greatest determination in working on themselves and fighting their weaknesses, were handed out. The “Strongmen” winners were: Nikola Gozdan, Ewelina Kieszek and Maciej Mielczarek.

The Friend of The Way of Happiness Foundation awards were ceremoniously presented to individuals who have supported the Foundation in achieving its mission. This award was given to: Katarzyna Nadolska , Jakub Fibich, Mark Laughran, Joanna Matras and Michal Furmankiewicz.

We have also awarded the “Zephyr Award,” which this year went to PWC Poland. It was received on behalf of the company by Ms. Agnieszka Gajewska, acting partner of PWC Polska. The awards were presented by last year’s winner, Warsaw Deputy Mayor, Paweł Rabiej.

We wish ourselves many years of fruitful work surrounded by our charges and friends. The Way of Happiness Foundation – a hundred years !

The Way of Happiness Power Station had an amazing visit from Joanna Matras and Juan Jose Marin from CaixaBank. During the meeting we learned what connects Poland and Spain.

 We also learned the recipe of how to become a bank director: you need a good education and, above all, strong discipline.

The visit was extremely important for us, it taught us that hard work can result in great successes, interesting professional projects and job satisfaction and the opportunity to travel around the world.

A busy weekend behind us!

There was another workshop for mothers entitled “Appreciating and praising children”. The girls found out when and with what words to express their appreciation, to please their children and to support their self-esteem.

And as part of the Skills Academy, the youth participated in an economic education workshop where we learned how to plan our budget, how to save and have more money for our pleasures.

Intensive workshops “My first job” are behind us.

We visited the beautiful Pracuj.pl office and participated in practical and theoretical classes. Young people could learn about current dresscodes and practice writing official emails.

It was a great opportunity to try her hand at writing a resume and learn where to find her dream job, simulated job interviews. ✍️

We feel that our youth, thanks to the workshops, will be better prepared to start work. Thank you Pracuj.pl for your time and engagement!

On June 14, 2019, in the beautiful interiors of the Workshop Hall of the Tramway Repair Plant in the depot in Warsaw’s Wola district, a gala and award ceremony took place as part of the 9th edition of the “S3KTOR 2018” competition for NGOs operating in Warsaw, organized by the City of Warsaw. 

We are happy to announce that in the “Innovative” category, the “Happy Way Gym” project implemented by the Happy Way Foundation won the grand prize.

The jury appreciated our project for its unique and creative approach to the task, for its innovative methodology of care for the Foundation’s wards leaving foster care. Thanks to our original program, young wards receive support that enables them to start an independent, responsible and happy adult life. As part of “The Way Of Happiness Gym” project, in 2018 100 young charges from Warsaw received support, and in 2019 another 100 people

Thank you! The award is motivation for us to keep working hard.

Going to the theater is an opportunity to:

• dress smartly,
• spend time with a group of friends.
